Update Firmware Using Wi-Fi

1. Press the "Setup" button on the remote control that came with your Samsung Blu-ray player.
2. Highlight either "Others" or "General" using the arrow buttons on the remote control and then press "OK."
3. Highlight "Firmware Update" and then press "OK."
4. Highlight "Update Now" and then press "OK."
5. Highlight "Yes" and press "OK" when prompted to connect to the Internet and check for available updates.
6. Highlight "Yes" to install a firmware update. While the update is being installed, the Panasonic Blu-ray player will periodically reboot itself. After the update is successfully applied, the player will turn itself off.
7. Turn your Panasonic Blu-ray player on again to resume using your Blu-ray player as you normally would.

Using Firmware Update Burned to CD

1. Navigate to the global Panasonic Blu-ray player support page and select the firmware update for your specific Panasonic Blu-ray player that you want to apply.
2. Click the green "Download" button after selecting your region and then select the location on your computer's hard drive where you want to download the firmware update.
3. Navigate to the location where you saved the firmware update file and then double-click the file. Select a location where you want to extract the file to and then click "Install."
4. Navigate to the location where you extracted the firmware update. The extracted file will be named PANA_DVD.FRM.
5. Insert a blank CD-R disc into your computer and then burn the PANA-DVD.FRM file to the disc. Be careful not to use any other type of writable disc, such as a CD-RW or any writable DVD disc. Ensure the firmware update file is the only file on the disc.
6. Insert the newly-created disc into your Panasonic Blu-ray player. A few seconds after inserting the disc, the text "Bye" appears on the Panasonic Blu-ray player's digital display.The Blu-ray player will reboot itself and then begin installing the firmware from the disc.
7. When the firmware update is finished installing, the text "Finish" appears on the Panasonic Blu-ray player's digital display, signifying that the firmware update is complete.
8. Remove the firmware update disc and power the Panasonic Blu-ray player off. The next time you turn the Panasonic Blu-ray player off, the update will be finalized and the player will be ready to use.

• If the firmware you are attempting to install is an older firmware version that what is currently installed on the player, the text "UNSUP PORT" will appear on the Panasonic Blu-ray player's digital display. If this happens, remove the disc and continue using your Blu-ray player as you normally would. Panasonic Blu-ray players are shipped with the most recent version of the firmware for that device pre-installed, so if you recently purchased the device, you may not need to update the firmware at this time.
