Troubleshooting Samsung Galaxy Nexus Problems

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus smart phone can fall victim to an echo, in-call volume issues, charging and power problems, and more. Work through various possible causes with your specific problem to try resolving the problem on your own without having to haggle with the Samsung support team or go to a Samsung retailer.

If you're hearing an echo or a high-pitched noise that sounds similar to the reverb you hear if a microphone is too close to an electric guitar, try lowering the phone's volume. The issue may be resulting from the Galaxy Nexus' microphone audio being picked up by the part of the phone that picks up your voice. Alternatively, if that doesn't work, try restarting the Galaxy Nexus, as it may just be a temporary glitch with the phone's software.

Hearing static in the background on your Galaxy Nexus is often the result of the phone's battery running low. Try resolving your problem by charging the battery for 15 minutes and then try making a phone call to see if you're still experiencing the problem. If you're making a call on the Galaxy Nexus while it's connected to a third-party charger, try disconnecting the third-party charger or connecting the smart phone to a Samsung-certified charger. Additionally, look at the strength of your signal; if you're signal is weak, you may hear static in the phone's background. If you're using a third-party charger, the charger may not be certified by Samsung to work with your device; check the details on the charger to see if it's intended to work with your device. Additionally, ensure that the charging cable is firmly connected to both the power source and the phone; if either of these connections is loose, the Galaxy Nexus won't charge. Also, if you're trying to charge your phone while it's connected to a computer, try disconnecting other connected USB devices and then connecting your phone to the computer; too many USB devices connected to your computer may use all of the power the computer has allocated for the USB ports. The "No Service" message always appears when you start your phone, but disappears after the phone finds a signal.
